  1. Where are the Greensboro Symphony Administration and Box Offices located?
    The Greensboro Symphony Orchestra Administration and Box Offices are located at
    200 North Davie Street, Suite 301, in downtown Greensboro.

  2. What is the difference in size of each performance venue?
    The capacity of the War Memorial Auditorium is 2,376; the capacity of the Greensboro Coliseum (Holiday Concert only) is 23,000; the capacity of the UNCG School of Music Recital Hall is 352; the capacity of the Alumni Gym at Elon University is 9,000; and the capacity of Westover Church is 2,900.

  3. How long is each concert? Each concert program varies in length.
    The Masterworks, POPS, Holiday and Gospel concerts run approximately 2 hours. The Chamber concerts run approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes.
  4. What age do children have to be to attend?
    Children over the age of 6 are welcome to attend all Greensboro Symphony Orchestra performances. Student discounts ($5 tickets) are available for children, ages 6-18.
  5. What is the processing fee?
    A processing fee is charged for every phone transaction using cash, check or credit card. The processing fee for 2006/2007 is $1.00 per ticket with a maximum limit of $3.00 per order. No fee will be charged for tickets purchased in person at the Greensboro Symphony Box Office, 200 North Davie Street, Suite 301, or at the Greensboro Coliseum Box Office.
  6. What is the parking availability for each facility?
    The parking, including handicapped spaces, is convenient at each venue. Masterworks Patrons who contribute a minimum of $1,000 to the Annual Fund and POPS Patrons who contribute a minimum of $500 have the opportunity to purchase parking in the V.I.P. Parking Lot in front of War Memorial Auditorium. For more information, call the Development Office at 336.335.5456, Ext. 231.
  7. What is the dress code?
    As a general guideline, dress at symphonic performances ranges from casual to dressy.
  8. Where is the best place to sit during the concert?
    Your personal preference will dictate where you think is the best place to sit. Both main floor and balcony seating in the War Memorial Auditorium, Greensboro Coliseum, UNCG School of Music Recital Hall and Westover Church allow excellent listening and viewing.
  9. Is each facility handicapped accessible?
    Yes, each venue is handicapped accessible.
  10. What are the dates of the new 2007/2008 Season?
    Masterworks, Chamber, POPS and the Gospel Concerts occur September through May. Click Here to see our Season Calendar.
  11. When can I order tickets for the new season?
    Subscription tickets are currently on sale for the 2007/2008 season. Single tickets for the 2007/2008 season will go on sale in September.
  12. How do I become a subscriber?
    Simply call the Greensboro Symphony Box Office at 336.335.5456, Ext. 223, and a season flyer will be mailed to you. Staff members are also available to talk with you about the different subscription packages available.   13. How do I become a donor?

  14. What is the difference between ticket prices?
    The difference in price is based upon the seating section in each venue and whether the price is for a student or adult. Seniors (65+) receive discounted tickets. Student prices are available for children, ages 6-18. Please refer to Tickets and Seating.
  15. How can we purchase tickets and where do we pick them up?
    Tickets can be purchased at the Greensboro Symphony Box Office by phone, FAX, or in person. The Box Office number is 336.335.5456, Ext. 223. A representative will place your order and either mail your tickets or hold them at Will Call for pick up on night of concert. Box Office hours are Monday through Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The office is located in the Greensboro Cultural Building at 200 North Davie Street, Suite 328 in downtown Greensboro. During concert weeks, the GSO Box Office is open on Saturday mornings for phone orders only.  Tickets can also be purchased through Ticketmaster.com, the Greensboro Coliseum Complex Box Office, and by calling 336-852-1100 or at Macy's Stores or www.greensborosymphony.org.
  16. Can I purchase gift certificates to a concert?
    Gift certificates can be purchased through the Symphony Box Office and must be redeemed within the season they are purchased.
  17. Are exchanges/refunds available?
    Exchanges are only available to subscribers and are subject to availability. There is no exchange fee for subscribers; however, any difference in ticket prices will be charged. There are no refunds on subscription or single ticket purchases.
